    • We can buy the materials for you
  3. The best materials

    • Torch-on felt in two layers
    • PVC and EPDM RESITRIX welded with hot air
    • Products with a declaration of performance, CE mark or data sheet
  4. A tailored approach

    • First we check the substrate, falls, parapets and outlets
    • Torch-on felt, a membrane, or insulation with EPS or PIR boards
    • The method fits the roof, not the other way round
02Scope of work

Scope of work

  1. Torch-on bitumen membrane and roofing work

We lay torch-on bitumen coverings on flat roofs. We prepare the substrate, torch down the layers and finish the flashings at parapet walls, outlets and service penetrations with care. We also insulate roofs with bitumen-faced EPS boards or PIR boards.

  2. Roofing membranes

Flat roof waterproofing with membrane systems. We match the build-up to the roof structure, join the sheets and seal the details on which the durability of the whole roof depends.

  3. Balcony and terrace waterproofing

We waterproof balconies and terraces as one coherent system: from a prepared substrate and falls to watertight thresholds, edges, movement joints and drains. Under tiles — under-tile waterproofing; without tiles — EPDM RESITRIX membrane.

Torch-on bitumen membrane

Two-layer bitumen waterproofing for flat roofs — base sheet and cap sheet torched down.

When to consider it
A new covering, replacing old bitumen roofing, or a roof with a substrate prepared for a bitumen system — concrete, trapezoidal metal decking or an insulation board with a suitable facing.
What needs checking
The condition and moisture of the substrate, whether the old bitumen roofing can stay, and planning the laps, corners and upstands at parapet walls before any torching starts.
What determines the result
An even bead of bitumen at the laps, staggered seams between layers, and watertight upstands at parapet walls, outlets and penetrations.

What clients say

A company worth recommending. Reliable, on time and thorough. I’d started to think I would never find the right professionals.

The contractor renovated a roof on my plot for me, together with insulation on the ceiling side. Because the work was done very well, I ordered more — renovating the porch and completing the fence around the plot. A reliable, down-to-earth, professional and honest team, and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

A flat roof on our house, about 140 m², and the old bitumen roofing was cracking by the chimney and around the outlets. After every heavy rain there was a stain on the bedroom ceiling. Tymur came on a Saturday, went up on the roof and showed me on his phone exactly where the water was getting in. They did it in four days, two layers plus new flashings round the chimney. It was a wet autumn — and everything stayed dry. The price was as quoted, with nothing added on.

My balcony is above my neighbour’s — he had a leak stain on his ceiling, I had tiles coming off by the threshold. Three firms said it would be enough to ‘seal the grout’. Tymur said straight away that there was no waterproofing at all under the tiles and it had to be redone from scratch. I was worried about the cost, but the quote was fair and I paid exactly what we had agreed. My neighbour hasn’t had a leak for a year now, and I have a new balcony. Only one thing — at first it was hard to get through on the phone.

I manage a small residents’ association — six flats, a flat roof from the 1980s. Water was getting into the stairwell and the top-floor flat. I got three quotes. This team was the only one to suggest a membrane instead of yet another layer of bitumen roofing, and they explained why. The job took a week, every morning I was told what they were doing that day, and at the end I got photos of all the joints. The residents are happy, and so am I.

08Questions

Questions and answers

Answers to the questions that affect the choice of technology and the scope of the repair.

01What does TYMUR MAMEDOV specialise in?+

In waterproofing flat roofs with bitumen membranes and synthetic membranes — together with insulation in bitumen-faced EPS boards or PIR boards — and in waterproofing balconies and terraces. It is a clear specialisation built on over 20 years of experience in waterproofing.

02Do you give a guarantee?+

Yes, we give a 5-year guarantee on completed work. Its scope and terms are set out in our quotation, according to the chosen system and the scope of the job.

03Torch-on bitumen or membrane — which should I choose for a flat roof?+

We lay bitumen membrane in two torched layers — the classic flat roof covering. PVC and EPDM (RESITRIX) membranes are joined with hot air, with no open flame, which helps in renovations and on roofs with many details. The choice depends on the substrate, the structure and the geometry of the roof.

04Do you also do roofing details and flashings?+

Yes. As part of flat roof waterproofing we make the flashings and watertight junctions at parapet walls, outlets, corners and service penetrations.

05What does balcony or terrace waterproofing include?+

Preparing the substrate and laying a continuous waterproofing system, including thresholds, edges, movement joints and drains. We agree the detailed scope after assessing the structure and the planned finish.

06What does the price of waterproofing depend on?+

On the water exposure, the technology, the condition and moisture of the substrate, the number of details, the area and access. The price list on this site gives net rates for individual roofing tasks, excluding building materials; 23% VAT is added to the invoice. The contract also includes a 10–15% contingency allowance for unforeseen work. We agree the final scope and price after the site visit.

07What documents cover the materials used?+

We choose products based on their intended use and technical documentation. Depending on the system, this includes declarations of performance, CE marking, KOT or the manufacturer’s technical data sheets.

08What should I prepare before getting in touch?+

Your town, the approximate area or length, photos of the whole area and of the details, when the damp appears, and a description of any earlier repairs.
